Terms & Conditions

1. Booking and Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only after full payment has been received.
The applicable terms are those in effect at the time of booking.

1.1 Bookings for Third Parties or Groups

When a booking is made on behalf of one or more participants, the person making the booking agrees to inform all participants of these Terms & Conditions and the content of the Risk Acknowledgment Form (waiver).

Each participant must read, accept, and individually sign the waiver before the activity begins.
Aquaventure Charlevoix reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who has not accepted or signed the waiver.

2. Administrative Fees

In all cases, an administrative fee equivalent to 10% of the total booking amount is non-refundable, including in the event of cancellation, rescheduling, or partial refund.

3. Client Cancellation Policy

3.1 Deadlines and Refunds

More than 7 days before the activity Cancellation or modification is possible with a 90% refund (10% retained as administrative fees).
Between 7 days and 48 hours before the activity Cancellation possible with a 50% refund OR free rescheduling to another date within the same season, subject to availability.
Less than 24 hours before the activity No refund, modification, or rescheduling will be granted.

3.2 Exceptions

Exceptions may be granted solely at the discretion of Aquaventure Charlevoix, without obligation to provide justification.

4. Participant Late Arrival

Participants must arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

For group activities, any delay that affects the activity or other participants may result in refusal of participation without refund.

Rescheduling the same day or to another time slot may be considered at the discretion of Aquaventure Charlevoix, subject to availability and provided it does not affect other bookings.

No refund will be issued for late arrivals resulting in cancellation of participation.

5. Cancellation or Modification by Aquaventure Charlevoix

5.1 Safety or Environmental Reasons

Aquaventure Charlevoix reserves the right to cancel, modify, shorten, or interrupt an activity at any time for safety reasons, including:

Dangerous weather conditions
Unfavorable navigation conditions
Safety of participants or staff
Any situation deemed risky by the company

In such cases, a 90% refund will be issued or the activity will be rescheduled, according to the client’s preference and availability.

6. Minor Weather Conditions

Light rain, cloudy skies, or other non-dangerous conditions are not valid reasons for cancellation.
No refund will be granted for minor weather discomfort if the activity is maintained.

7. Shortened Activities

An activity that has begun may be shortened or interrupted for safety reasons, weather conditions, or participant behavior.

If shortened for reasons unrelated to participant behavior, no refund will be granted, but a credit for a future activity may be offered upon written request.

If shortened due to participant behavior or failure to follow instructions, no refund or credit will be granted.

8. Booking Transfer

A booking may be transferred to another person if they meet all prerequisites, participation conditions, and safety requirements, and if the transfer is approved in writing before the activity date.

9. Season Programs

Season programs include a fixed number of sessions throughout the season.

Missed sessions are forfeited.
At the company’s discretion, a missed session may be replaced by a board rental or an Intro Lesson + Rental session.
No refunds are provided for absences.

10. Modification of Terms

Aquaventure Charlevoix reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The applicable terms are those in effect at the time of booking.

11. Relationship with the Risk Acknowledgment Form

These Terms & Conditions complement and apply jointly with the Risk Acknowledgment Form (waiver) accepted during booking.
In case of apparent contradiction, both documents must be interpreted together.

12. Acceptance

By making a booking, the client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions and the associated Risk Acknowledgment Form (available here).
