This Sunrise Guided Paddle Experience offers a unique opportunity to discover the St. Lawrence River during what are often the best conditions of the day for stand-up paddleboarding.
The early morning hours typically bring lighter winds, calmer waters, and a more enjoyable paddling experience. Accompanied by a certified guide, you will enjoy a guided paddle that combines exploration, skill development, and observation of the natural environment.
Morning conditions also provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, including the seals that are sometimes spotted near the wharf.

Where and When Should I Arrive ?
The meeting point is located at the end of the Petite-Rivière-Saint-François wharf.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start of the activity to allow time for preparation and equipment fitting.

Is this activity suitable for beginners ?
Yes. This activity is open to all experience levels.
However, to get the most out of the experience, we recommend having previously participated in a Coaching & Rental session with Aquaventure Charlevoix.
What time does the tour begin ?
The tour begins approximately 45 minutes before sunrise to take advantage of the best paddling conditions and the first light of day.
Departure times vary throughout the season and are listed in the Reservations section of our website.
Is it possible to modify the departure time ?
Yes. Upon request, it may sometimes be possible to adjust the schedule slightly to depart a little later and enjoy the dawn light rather than the exact sunrise.
However, it is not possible to change the time of sunrise itself.
Does the guide provide information during the tour ?
Yes. Your guide shares information about the river, local wildlife, surrounding landscapes, and regional history while also providing technical coaching tailored to the participants.
Is the activity led by a certified guide ?
Yes. The entire experience is led by a certified and experienced guide who accompanies participants throughout the activity.
Will the tour take place if it is cloudy ?
Yes. The tour operates even when the sky is cloudy.
However, it may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather or water conditions do not allow for the safe operation of the activity.
Do I need to know how to swim ?
Yes. Participants must be comfortable in the water and able to swim.
